day 2: loved outrageously

  (View all the 31 Days of Deep Love Diving posts here )

{My dad made it through his heart surgery yesterday. Praising God for His all surpassing peace throughout the day. But seeing my dad in recovery, fighting against the machines that help him make it through the critical recovery hours was hard. It's not something anyone should have to go through. And, really, it is preventable. Just see the loving others challenge from yesterday. And if you are praying for my dad, thank you from the bottom of my heart.}

I've shared the following video before, but it's a message worth repeating for as many times as you need to hear it. Find stillness and soak it in. Let God speak to your heart. Answer Him back with yours.

The challenge: Learn what it means to love God with your whole heart.

This week I want to learn what it means to love God with my whole heart. Monday, today and tomorrow I'm thinking on, praying about and meditating upon what this means. Today, I'm asking Him if I really love Him as much as my husband and children. And I'm asking Him how to challenge me in this area Thursday through Sunday.

The challenge: Spend time gazing with love at one you love

In the busyness of life I often forget to stop and enjoy just being with those I love, nothing said, no agenda, just...being. Yet when I've taken the time to do so, it fills my heart to the brim with love. So today, I will take that time to appreciate being in the one-on-one presence of those I love...noticing the curve of brow, spirit in eye, and God's fingerprints on their skin.
